It does the job though I had a great deal of effort making it work. Turns out it REALLY doesn't like USB3 connections. Pop it into a USB2 socket and it fires up no bother. Sounds detection is a little fizzy and distorts such that the recording playback sound a little muffled. That said, you get what you pay for and I don't need it to be great. Build: It has a slightly weighted base to keep it stable, quite along cable which suits my desk fine (especially considering the USB2 requirement) flexible arm and foam cover on the microphone head. The switch is a little difficult to establish as on or off (those of us of a certain age will recognise the audible difference between an on click and an off click so it's not a big deal!). Essentially, if you have to grumble about this microphone, you should have spent more money and got a better one!

The first pictures of this on the listing show a mic that has a light showing whether the mic is on or not, and it appears to have a USB cable to the microphone (presumably with the USB to analog input conversion inside it). The shipped product, while functional, doesn't have the light and has the USB to analog conversion in a dongle at the plug end, so your sound gets affected by interference.
