The good:1. It's a lamp. It makes light for reading.The not so good:1. 5500K is very white light. (Feels about like a fluorescent lamp.) If you want something for your office or den, I suggest something with a lower temperature color.2. The range of motion is only 20-30 degrees to either side. This is likely a design choice for stability. A better choice would have been to put a weight in the base instead.3. It uses a 10V wall-wart, a longish one at that. Until we perfect wireless power transmission, manufacturers should either integrate the transformer, or use a standard voltage and barrel sizes.4. If you are using a wall switch, the lamp does not remember it's previous state. You'll have to turn it on each time.

It is disappointing that I have received a different model than what is advertised. Mine has 5 level dimmer and the touch pad is different. But it still does fairly good job. I use it on my office desk. it doesn't make my eyes tired like the previous lighting in the room.

We wanted to kids desk to have lights similar to sunlight and also the ability to dim. This one works great! I love the touch sensor dimmer!The slim and cool slender design also makes it look very fancy on the kids' desks.

Package arrived quickly and on-time even after considering extra shipping time to Hawai`i. Stiff cardboard packaging was protected all parts beyond expectations. Lamp-- fully assembled except for the plug adapter-- was encased in more stiff cardboard with a thin plastic protective coating to prevent the lamp from being scratched by the cardboard. Like I said, the bulb was already in the lamp-- surprised me since most lamps come with the bulb in bubblewrap, and you have to figure out how to insert it without cracking the lamp's neck. This lamp is great if you've had cataract surgery and cannot stand the glare of other lamps; you can dim it to a very soft white, or make it super bright to the point where you need sunglasses at night. I wish I'd purchased more than 1 to replace all the yellow-brown lighted lamps in my apartment, but since the price has gone up, I will wait for another sale.

This is a really nice portable lamp that puts out substantial light. I'm pleased with the weight and stability, the usb outlet for charging and the value. This was my first purchase of this kind of LED lamp.

Now this is THE best LED lamp ever. It has a very high LED brightness, and sturdy. So versatile in adjusting to light to whatever angle you want. Nice and heavy with a real plug (unlike the cheaper version that is small, very thin goose neck, has UBS port only, and easily falls over). More expensive than some you'll find, but if you want a really good/nice-looking desk lamp, this is it! You touch one spot to turn on/off, and another to choose the brightness. Great reading lamp, as it goes very bright. Great light over computer keyboard, when you only want to basically see what you are typing.

Bought this for my wife to apply make up, and she says it is great.
