Can you use this grill brush without water to clean your grill?

I guess it depends on your grill, I have triangle-shaped grill slats, it would clean the tops ok, but I need to get the grease off those angled sides. The steam with the pressure of the brush works well, it takes a lot of elbow grease. The water also washes away the debris so the yuck isn't just getting pushed back and forth.

My grill looks more like a broiler pan than the traditional grate. Will this work on that?

This grill brush should work with any type of grill.

Here are tips to make cleaning with the grill brush easier and more effective:

1. Make sure the grill is hot. Cleaning on a hot grill softens the grime.
2. Prepare a dish of water to put by the grill. Dip the brush in the water to make the head wet.
3. Scrub the wet brush on the hot grill, moving in the direction of the grates. The combination of heat and water will create steam, making cleaning far easier.
4. Work in sections. Keep scrubbing on the same section until you have cleaned off all the grime. You will need to go over each section several time to get it clean. Make sure to dip the brush back in the water often.

Question 3

Why are there no instructions with this brush?  I've read reviews that say it works great if you dip it in water before using but I wouldn't know that

Does this horizontal brush head, where the coils run parallel to the grilling surface, clean better and easier than the vertical brush heads?
