I had purchased a coat because it was warm, but was disappointed in its appearance. It needed a hood ruff. I found this online and ordered it in Rusty Fox to coordinate with the colors of the coat, its lining and my hair. It was easy to attach, and voila! Now I can't wait for snow! The ruff is soft, and feels very much like fur but without the guilt.

I ruined my Ralph Lauren coat's faux fur hood, by putting the coat in the dryer. I ordered this replacement faux fur piece, cut the old one off and attached the new one with the buttons supplied. So easy!! I love my coat again! This faux fur is just gorgeous, and comes in a lot of color choices.

While doing laundry I messed up the original fur trim on my hoodie and it got burned up in the dryer : ( So I ordered this one and it looks even better than the original trim that came with the hoodie!!! I am so happy. Thank you so much! With patience and time this product it totally worth it! I bought the trim in black but I will get the grey and burgundy or purple next time as I imagine they look just as awesome. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Pics are the transformation my hoodie went through from the burnt trim to the new black trim fur I installed. If you are having difficulty sewing or where to begin; youtube has some good sewing trim fur videos. What helped me was measuring the space the lapels on the trim were from each other so I knew where to sew in the buttons. Everything was even. Hope this helps and enjoy! I fried the fur on my Lands End Coat hood so I needed a solution and this is it!!!! I zipped off the old fur piece and sewed the 14 buttons on, and voila!!!!! It looks awesome and its really fluffy and good as new. It does take a bit of time to hand sew 14 buttons on, but well worth the work. I suggest watching a utube video on how to sew buttons if you don't know how.I ordered the "wolf" color.

I purchased the Brown with white option, I wish everyone posting pictures would say which one they purchased as I was trying to get the same one as one of the previous reviews. After a decent amount of time trying to figure it out, I still didn't choose the same one.HOWEVER, the one I chose is still really nice. The quality is great and the color is stunning. Even better than what most faux fur lined jackets come with. It's not the one I thought I chose but I'm still going to use it and I'm still quite pleased with it.Only down side is that you have to be home when its delivered since its shipped from poland... That didn't end up being a huge deal for me but fair warning make sure someone is home to receive it.

This saved the day after my husband put my beloved/new winter jacket in the dryer while I was out. I thought the jacket was ruined since the beautiful fur trim on the hood got fried into a frizzy mass...and replacing the jacket wasn't an option since it was no longer available. After regaining my composure about the loss, I got online and found this replacement on Amazon. The quality was amazing. I took it along with the jacket to a local seamstress who removed the fried fur and attached this new one. My jacket is good, or better than new. Since this new fur is detachable, I will be able to take it off before it gets anywhere near the washer or drier.I took it to a seamstress to do since the original fur on the jacket was pretty well sewn into the hood...I think that was the hard part of the project. Otherwise I think I could have sewn the buttons on myself...something you could do if you were just adding fur to a jacket without the removal step. It does have a number of small buttons that need to be lined up with the loops that are attached to the fur, so it's not a fast project.There are loops on both edges of the fur strip, so the fur wraps around the edge of the hood. It's really the best way to give you a professional finish...you can't tell in any way that it is replacement fur.

I ordered the black trim, and I have to say that it feels exactly like real fur, and looks great too. It's very high quality, especially for the price. My only complaint is that there is a seam down the middle of the trim, which isn't too noticeable due to the pile of the fur, however each panel of fur is kind of moving in different directions, so there's a bit of an awkward meet up in the middle. This doesn't bother me too much and is hardly noticeable when the fur is all fluffed up.
