Excellent way to save on your power bill, if you can live with the following...
UPDATE Feb 3, 2016: 2 of the 7 I installed have died after 6 & 8 months of moderate use (maybe 2 hours a day). When these are purchased for their purported longevity this is a disappointing result... do they save money? yes but when they don't last even as long as a halogen bulb that's not good. The color and lighting pattern suck but I've lived with and justified them because of the money saved but if I have to constantly replace them it gets pointless...I bought these in the summer of 2015 and installed immediately in my kitchen track lighting. Overall they're okay...PROS:PRICE: At the price paid for these they are an incredible value.SAVINGS: The savings generated just by using these over halogen is the biggest PRO for me.DURABILITY: So far in 8 months I've had issues with 2 of the 7 I installed out of the 10 pack. The one that gave me problems just suddenly went very dim and has stayed that way. I swapped it for another that I had extra and I'm back in business. I was replacing 1 halogen about every quarter so I'd say these are (so far) more durable.HEAT GENERATION: (or lack thereof) These things run cool, I love that about them. I used to work up a sweat in the kitchen working under the halogen bulbs, these are so cool I can touch the glass after them running for an hour and it's just warm to the touch. Honestly that coolness is the feeling of lower electric bills, heat generation = inefficiency.CONS:PATTERN: These are definitely spot lights and do not throw like a flood at all, so if you're replacing floods with these make sure you're cognizant of that. It totally changes the lighting in our kitchen and it's annoying but not enough for me to pay 10X more in electricity.COLOR: I bought the bulbs advertised as "Warm White" but the color looks similar to the Pure White in the picture, but maybe a little more blue/greenish. It seems other reviewers have reported similar results so either it's a lot of defective product or false advertising. Either way be ready for that color.DESIGN: Yes they come apart when you remove them because of the way the case is threaded on to itself, had they reversed the threads you would've had this problem when screwing it in so they probably should've just put some thread locker on it in production. It's not the end of the world.

Very dim bulbs, not 50w halogen replacements. Ok for the low price though.
Bought these to replace some 50w halogens in my kitchen track lighting. They fit well, so far all the ones replaced seem to work ok.Beware of two things, these are pretty dim. They are by no means, in my opinion, a replacement for 50w halogens. Maybe more like 20-30w replacements, but not 50w. The kitchen is probably 50% darker than it was with the stock halogen bulbs. The only reason I will probably keep these is because they are so much cheaper to run than all the halogens they replaced. Second thing to be aware of, the pictures in the product description show Pure White and Warm White, but the product is sold as Pure White and White. Be prepared that the color will be between the Pure and Warm examples shown.Soon as I need to replace these bulbs with another set (a lot of reviews say they die quickly), I will be buying a higher wattage LED set of similar description. There are a few 7w gu10 bulbs on amazon, though more expensive might look much better.

Awesome!
Ok so I read the reviews and was leery so I ordered 1 package. I just installed them on a large track/ spot light fixture in my kitchen. My previous experience with expensive LEDs was awful. The color glared off the granite and hurt to look at them. My hopes weren't that high for these especially since they are way cheaper than the ones I had. So I installed them and HOLY CR#$!! the color is amazing. My wife and son didn't notice the difference except the bulb sticks out a little farther. This is no problem since the bulbs are "finished" as in they are stylized with chrome trim rings and fins. They look like part of the fixture they are installed in not bulbs. The best part is they don't burn the back of my neck when I stand under them and my electric meter won't spin uncontrollably when the lights are on( I replaced halogens). It's a 10 light fixture so I went from 500 watts to 40. Hopefully they last but I ordered more to stock up and replace the other 10 in the kitchen. All in all, great for they money, they do feel cheap and plasticky but then again they don't need the real glass for surface of the sun like heat! The lumens may be lower than halogens but my lighting was overkill to begin, with so it works great for me

2 of 10 burned out in < 1 year, oh well.
Normally, for a light bulb review, I'd give it either 5 stars if it worked, or 1 star if it didn't. In this case, because it was a 10 pack, I'm giving it 3 stars. Overall, these bulbs provided a very nice warm white light. They looked great in my recessed cans too. But, in less than a year, with little use, 2 of the 10 burned out. I didn't want to try and buy individual bulbs locally because their light color might not match what these Chinese bulbs produce. So, I ordered another 10pack. I saved the remaining 8 for when the next ones burn out. I can't really recommend these, but they were cheap and there's no real guarantee that any other "cheap" bulb would be any better. Locally, these are 8 bucks a pop, so even with a couple of them burning out, they're still not a bad deal.

So far these are MUCH better than the halogens they replaced
I can't account for longevity yet, but one by one as my annoyingly short life halogen bulbs die I am replacing them one by one with these. The color of the light is nearly identical to the halogens but the light output is slightly higher. They are extremely light weight (no glass) and don't require the annoying suction cup for insertion/removal. You can get fingerprints on them and it won't harm them. The one thing I noticed is these are about a third inch longer than the ones I'm replacing so they stick out a bit more. This is actually a nice feature in my light fixtures though as the tip of the lens has a lit ring around the outside which is actually pleasant to look at.
