USB-C Hub for Macbook Pro,As a student, I need a laptop to help me learn. So I bought a new Macbook Pro (2017 model), but it only got the USB-C port. This made me have to buy a USB-C hub that would allow me to get a standard USB port as well as PD charging, data transfer and even HDMI port. This is one of the 6 in 1 centers I have encountered. I read a lot of reviewers before buying, did a lot of research and finally chose zedela USB-C Hub, which is a good decision.First, when using this device, I can use my standard 87W USB-C charging adapter as a straight-through power supply (there is a USB-C port for charging). Secondly, I noticed that some people's comments claim that it will be hot after use. After the trial, I can confidently say that the previous commentator said that this adapter will become very hot is wrong. This hub is only slightly warm after a long period of use, but I believe this is the heat that any charging device will generate. Plug my Samsung phone into the USB 3.0 port and the adapter communicates and charges it, no problem. I don't know why some people would say that this USB-C Hub is not suitable for Macbook Pro. So far, it works perfectly with my Macbook Pro. Finally, I using HDMI with 4K TV, there is no problem when displaying the screen in 4K@30Hz. This is great.All in all, I am very satisfied with this center, I will recommend this Macbook Pro USB-C Hub to my friends.

I have the MacBook Pro Mid-2017 model, and I needed a proper USB-C hub. I had an unfortunate experience with a different one and had to return that. After a month of regular use, this hub is performing very well! It has held up its end of the deal in terms of transfer speeds and has surprisingly good heat management. It also functions on my Galaxy S9, and I was able to use the HDMI port on a monitor to play YouTube videos. The power delivery works well and can transfer the full 60W of my charger. Also, this is very affordable compared to the rest of the market on Amazon while still remaining professional-looking. Overall, I am very happy with the product!

Update: December 4th 2019Since it didn’t fit into my MacBook pro 2016, I decided to use it at work! It worked just fine for two months and then, the monitor that I plugged the HDMI cable into this item started late receiving any of the commands from the original monitor! What made me think that this item is the problem? Well, I disconnected the item from the first monitor and plugged the HDMI cable to it directly, and everything works just fine.I don’t recommend it. I need my money back.It does not fit my mac! Macbook pro 2016! And nowhere on the description says so! I shipped it from the US all the way to Saudi Arabia! OMG!

I have a 2018 15" MBP with TouchBar and 27" Samsung 4k monitor with HDMI and DisplayPort inputs. I had been using an Amazon Basics USB-C to DisplayPort cable for about a year but the cable never seemed to work right. The laptop never would wake up properly, the cable had to be reseated a few times; it was a major pain in the butt. I finally broke down and ordered this hub, hesitantly, because the price seemed too good to be true. So far, it seems to be working really well! I picked up an Amazon Basics 4K HDMI cable and am using it with the laptop and monitor and love it! There is a BIT of latency in using 4K HDMI versus DisplayPort but I can probably get used to it. I don't think that is fault of the hub, rather the design of HDMI. Regardless, I love the hub and am looking forward to getting tons of use out of it!

This product receives high ratins for three particular reasons. First, it's reasonably priced. Second, it features two USB-C inputs: one for passing power to the device; and a second for hooking up a USB-C device like an SSD for data pass through. (Most hubs at the time of this writing only offer USB-A connections for data transfer or force users to choose between charging and data transfer. This device offers both.) Third, it attaches via a cable. This means it works with iPad Pros that are in cases. The only downside is that it lacks an SD card reader. If not, it would be perfect.

I wanted something to connect to my surface go for my other devices, like phone, memory cards, disc drives, etc this has many different slots I can use. It connects by the c- cable. The surface go only has the c-cable connector. Some of my devices have the USB port and I cannot connect them to the surface go. So I needed to buy this hub. What I like about this hub is I can have norw than one device hooked up to my surface go. There is 3 USB ports, 2 type c - cable ports and even a hdmi port. I can charge my phone as I use the drive I have as well, or a bluetooth mouse all at the same time. Using this with multiple devices does drain the battery of your computer. Please keep this in mind

I mainly bought this to expand on the one USB type C I have on my desktop, and I was under the impression that the USB C on this hub would work with data transfer. However, my computer will not do more than say "weak connection" even if I have the Power delivery usbc in use.It's a solid build, but 50% useless.

I just got this yesterday because I needed more functionality. This little dongle does everything! I wish I would've purchased it sooner. The build quality is great, it looks really nice. So far I've tried the USB 3.0 ports which worked perfectly and I've also utilized the HDMI port which works better than my dedicated USB-C to HDMI cable. The picture quality is great and sound is transferred through it as well. The price on this dongle is a little steep but when you add up how much it would cost to buy one of everything that this dongle has you're actually saving money. Great quality at a very reasonable price!
