This item works well with my cameras, a DSLR and several point and shoot types. A plus is that the mini tripod has a quick release on the top similar to better tripods.

Cannot hold Nikon D90 with 18-200 lens
It is just not made for lenses like 18-200... And is not very stable even for lighter lenses...Not made for dslr...

Came as requested, Seems to work well with the Nikon D5100
I wanted a small flexible tripod for close up shots and this doesn't fail to deliver. It's sturdy and can hold the standard kit lens on the Nikon D5100. If you own this camera this is a definite must have if you don't want to shell out the bucks for the gorillapod.

NOT A TRIPOD FOR DSLR CAMERAS, TRY AGAIN
NOPE, I would never have bought this is I knew that the tripod was a piece of crap. If you have a DSLR then buy a better tripod than this one. My lens almost broke because of this horrible tripod
