Iron Horse Foldable Mountain Bike Tire 29” X 2.0”

Just purchased for the price point for husbands bike. They for some reason hardly carry this size in stores which is silly. Way overboard priced compared to the smaller ones in the places that do carry them. We put this on his bike last weekend and went for a 7 mile ride. Held up well, so far so good. Will check back in as time progresses and update my review.

If your looking for a standard tire with a lot of tread, these are the tires for you. Works fine riding on a bike path and a dirt trail. The fit is on the loose side, as in I really didn't need to muscle it on the rims with a tire iron. Probably could of mounted them without tire irons, so not too confident taking it on some hairy trails. For having fun around town, these work nicely. The look just like the stock tires that came with my $500 mountain bike.

Got my order in two days! 29 inch tires seem to be hard to find, none of my local big box stores carry them.So far so good. Got the tires today, put them on my bike and did about 10 miles with no problems. These tires are not as wide as the factoring tires they replace but that is ok with me. Most of my riding is on pavement and rough pavement.For those complaining about getting a box that says Iron Horse, Iron Horse tires are made by Pacific Cycle which is the owner of Schwinn. These are not generic tires, Pacific Cycle is a real name brand.

Bought two of these, chopped then down to just the tread, and screwed them to my son's Power Wheels tires and now it really goes anywhere. Just a bit of stretch and one tread strip fit two tires perfectly.

Fits as promised on Genesys GS29 mountain bike. I have about 300 miles on it so far. 90% road, 10% trail. There is no sign of wear you. The stock tires began to show wear at 200 and had to be replaced at 1100 miles.If you have the time, remove your old tire and use it as a form to shape the tire before installation. You can install it out of the box, but forming it to shape first makes it a LOT easier.

Folded tires are always slightly harder to seat on rims, however this is a good tire for the cost.
