Decent hub
I wish that someone would make a large multi-hub with all of the ports on one side....the "octopus" approach is just stupid!

Worked then stopped, but...
This worked wonderfully for about 3 weeks, then inexplicably quit working. Power light flashed on and off, tried resetting by unplugging it for an hour... still no help. I contacted the manufacturer, they said I would have to speak with whoever I bought it from. I contacted Amazon, and Amazon said I would have to contact the seller that they partner with on this product. I was getting a bit annoyed at this point, but contacted the seller (can't remember who they are at the moment) and they immediately refunded my money, no questions asked. They did not even want me to return the original. So I was pleasantly surprised to have a very good customer service experience in the end. I will be buying another, and hope the next one doesn't go bad. Since I did not see any other reports of this product going bad, I'm hoping my first defective one was an aberation. It was great while it was working.

Half the ports dont work at any one given time!
Got this because of all the usb ports. Overall the construction looks good BUT it functions horribly. I had all the ports on it used except for two and for the first few minutes all was working well. Then i needed to restart my cpu and it was stuck on the bios screen for over 20 minutes. I restarted again and it all loaded up fine. But now only half the usb ports were working! I did another restart and same issue, stuck at bios and required another reboot. This time going into windows i saw that, again, only half the ports were working! I started to think maybe half the ports just fried and i got a DOA on my hands. Funny things was, these were not the same ports as before! So now all my other ports were not working and my previous nonworking ports were working! Sorry if this all sounds confusing but that's how i was feeling too. I then did another restart but this time unplugged the hub beforehand. Andddd, windows booted finee without stalling at bios! So now I have had this thing for over three months and im down to 5 working ports. And I just have to keep in mind to unplug the thing before every restart. Just for more infor, all my drivers are up-to-date. I have tried this on both Vista 64 and Windows 7 64 bit systems.

Fantastic Hub - very reliable
This is an absolutely superb hub, works very reliably, more so than others I have tried in the past which tend to keep losing connection with devices, this one was 13 connectors and works great even with external hard drives. The fact is has 13 USB connectors is amazing and I would not hesitate to recommend this very highly, I am using it with an imac so it is fully Mac compatible and very well made.

Died after about a year of use.
Worked OK for a while but did not provide enough power for many of the USB powered gizmos. Finally died and buried in New Jersey land field.

doesn't reenumerate on wakeup
Works fine as far as it works. The problem is that devices (under win 7 x64 at least) don't reconnect after this is used with my laptop and I wake it up from sleep. I have to plug the mouse for instance into another port on the hub. Repowering the hub etc doesn't seem to make the mouse appear. I don't know if this is a problem especially with this hub but I think it is, since other hubs don't have this problem.

Very High Marks
The Sunchrotech USB Hub is a life saver. With so many peripherals for my computer, I needed a multiport hub that had more than 7 ports. This answered my needs. It was easy to install and easy to attach my USB peripherals. The value was about what I was willing to spend.Trust me it is well worth every penny.

worked awhile, then failed with blinking blue light
as other reviewers discovered earlier, my Koutech USB hub quit working. Purchased in Jan 2010 so I had about 28 months of limited use out of it (it was on a computer I rarely used). Despite the 28 months, I still give it just 1 star as I paid top dollar for a hub that I thought would last. Failure is a blue blinking light but no usb communication. Bought mine from a competitor of Amazon at the same price they are asking today.
