Jiefang Liberation Pine High Top Classic Chinese Army Shoes

OK, out of the box they smell. It is a strong smell, something like eau de Harbor Freight. I left them in the garage to air out for a few days, and they were wearable.I normally wear a 10 1/2 and ordered a size 11. They fit pretty well. They are a lot like Chuck Taylors but not as narrow.Mine came with a black sole, not the gum soles shown in the photo. But for $10 I'm not complaining.

Good if you like a flat shoe, very light and flexible. They are a size larger then what I expected I order a size ten and they feel like an eleven. They had a strong smell when I first open them but went away pretty fast.
