Well made of good materials. This latest iteration is cylindrical rather than the older truncated cone. Also, the outlet slides into the suction pipe rather than around the outside. The appearance is very different, but it fits perfectly. ...And it works very well, better than the original in fact. I have not needed to wash it yet, but it shakes out more completely than the original pleated paper filter..

I had to fuss a bit to get this to fit. Just didn't want to go into place. However, once in place it seems to do it's job nicely. I've been using it for some months now and only had occasion to dust it off when necessary so haven't put it to the test with a water cleaning but so far it seems to do what it was designed to do adequately. I'm glad to have purchased it.

So far so good, I have only used it a few times. The size and shape are identical to the original filter. The differnce is that the filter material seems to be made of a stiffer, slightly harder fabric. Whether this makes it studier, more durable or more Hepa efficient I cannot tell.

I bought this February 4, 2014 and have used this product enough to now give it an excellent review. Firstly, let me state this item is exactly like the filter that came with my vacuum cleaner. Secondly, it holds up awesomely to cleaning with the old-fashioned spray nozzle using the hose! If you're looking for replacement filters and you want to keep reusing the same filters, this is the filter for you. I highly recommend it and will buy again in future when I finally wear out all the filters for this vacuum cleaner...a vacuum cleaner I can't imagine my life without. Awesome vacuum cleaner and awesome filter replacements!

Fits great, works great, and is way easier to clean than the stock filter. I can just bang it around in the garbage can, then immerse the whole thing in water and rub out the lint, unlike trying to scrape out the old filter with a surgical mask and the business end of a chopstick. And to top it off, it's cheaper than the branded replacement to boot, there are no downsides here. I really should have bought something like this years ago.

I bought this product after using 10 years a similar product. After a year of use this product is working strong and flawlesly.. customer service is responsive and great. I bought the wrong device and they replace the units inmidiately.

Update - Just ran the rinsed off filter through the dishwasher. While it doesn't look BRAND NEW, it is pretty close.I used it for two months, and it worked fine. I just washed it, and while is did not come white I did get a lot of dust off of it. (Eureka Optima 12 Vac)

This is very easy to clean out with an electric duster ( http://amzn.to/1SC8MwI ) - and it keeps my carpets nice and fresh. It's very dusty in South Texas, and I'm always able to pick up a good amount of dust using this about once a week. I love that my cheap little yellow Eureka Cyclone can work so well with such easy maintenance.I clean this filter after every time I vacuum.

This is what I was looking for, an inexpensive replacement for the original. The original ended up smelling after a rinsing which made everything smell. Replaced the filter with this one and fixed everything. Still have not washed this one though. I hope it ends up ok. Shipping was fast and of course the price was right!
